Happy Tuesday again friends! This week, I am doing one of the Top 5 Tuesday prompts created and hosted by Meeghan Reads (originally it was created by The Bionic Bookworm). This week’s topic is about the top 5 book series to start in 2024, and I am already stressing which ones to pick because there are so many amazing new series coming out this year!
~ Top 5 Book Series To Start In 2024 ~
Recently I wrote a post about my bookish goals for 2024 where I talked about how I wanted to read more diverse books but also try to read more of my owned books. So this list of the top 5 book series to start will have a mix of both.
1. This Woven Kingdom by Tahereh Mafi
The final book of This Woven Kingdom trilogy by Tahereh Mafi comes out this year, and so what better time than now to start this series? An epic romantic fantasy inspired by Persian mythology, This Woven Kingdom is a book series that every Tahereh Mafi fan I know have been raving about, and I cannot help but want to join the hype train!
2. So Let Them Burn by Kamilah Cole
The first book of the The Divine Traitors and a debut novel by Kamilah Cole, So Let Them Burn is one of my most anticipated book series to start in 2024! The book came out last week and I am just waiting for my copy to arrive in the mail so I can begin.
3. A Tempest Of Tea by Hafsah Faizal
Another first in a series from my list of most anticipated books coming out this year, A Tempest Of Tea is a YA heist romance (with vampires and tea!) and is hitting the shelves on February 20. Since I have been wanting to read more diverse books this year, specifically books by Muslim authors and Bangladeshi authors, this is one of the book series I am excited to start in 2024.
4. Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett
I will be honest, I didn’t really hear much about this series until very recently, but it got me interested enough to add it to my list of book series to start in 2024. The Emily Wilde series by Heather Fawcett follows a socially awkward professor who moves to a mystical small town to study faeries, magic and discovers love and friendship along the way.
5. Song of The Last Kingdom by Amelie Wen Zhao
Amelie Wen Zhao’s Song of The Last Kingdom has been popping up all over my social media timelines recently, and I am not gonna lie, the book cover, the premise, everything promises it to be a great book series to start! Since the second book is also coming out this year, I am excited to start this new Young Adult Fantasy book series inspired by Chinese mythology.
These are the books series that I am excited to start in 2024! What are some of the book series you are hoping to read this year? Drop them in the comments below, and if you have also participated in Top 5 Tuesday or Top 10 Tuesday, share the links to your posts so I can check them out! <3
I’m currently reading So Let Them Burn and it’s really fun! Yess, A Tempest of Teas is high on my list too!
