Announcements: Blogoween+The Classics Club TBR

I AM BACK FROM MY HIATUS!

(and I come bearing news)

It’s good to be back on the blog, but the hiatus was a much needed break because of how stressful things are right now in my life–my mom recently fractured her ankle so I have to do the groceries and take my sister to her classes and pick her up from classes too, none of which would not have been so difficult if only I didn’t have 8-5 classes myself.

(in fact I am trying really hard not to fall asleep on my laptop as I write this post)

(and so this is gonna be a very quick and short post…minus the tbr list below)

I’ll admit that a small part of me still wants to extend the hiatus, but I really didn’t want to miss Blogoween–the book blogger’s version of Halloween  which is being hosted by some lovely people I met through #NewBloggers (you’ll get to know them all as I start posting on the prompt dates).

A little culture shock: we don’t celebrate Halloween here in Bangladesh, not nationwide. It’s not really part of our culture, but most of us love the idea of it so much that some of us celebrate Halloween in our own ways–there are several hotels that host Halloween parties and escape room events, but that’s really just it.

So of course I didn’t want to miss out on my chance to celebrate Halloween on the blogosphere too–and you can definitely see that from the new look of my blog.

In other news: I have joined yet another book club called The Classics Club! As someone who grew up reading classics, I knew I had to join this club as soon as I heard of it. The goal of the club is to read classics (duh) and share reviews of classics with other classics lovers…but there’s more: all members are challenged to finish reading 50 classics in 5 years.

Yes, yes I know I have unrealistic reading goals but a girl can dream right? Here are the list of classics that I plan on reading in 5 years:
