Book Review: This Is How You Lose The Time War

It’s not often that I find myself at a loss for words when writing a book review, but there just isn’t enough vocabulary in the English language–or any human language for that matter–to do justice to This Is How You Lose The Time War. Although it’s a story about forbidden love and science-fiction and time travel, somehow, while reading this book, I had this distinct feeling that I would never again be the same.

Book Review: Much Ado About Nada By Uzma Jalaluddin

The older I grow, the more appreciation I have for sweet and swooning romance novels, and Much Ado About Nada by Uzma Jalaluddin has everything that I could possibly love–inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion, this is a Muslim love story about a second-chance romance with just the right amount of angst, sizzle, and sweetness.

That being said, Much Ado About Nada does come with certain shortcomings, and as much as I loved the story, there are some important criticisms that I could not overlook by the time I finished the book. Dive in for a more detailed review below.

For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with all things Disney. But I can’t remember a single movie that has enchanted me the way Jared Bush and Byron Howard’s Encanto did. As I write this review, I have watched the film three times already, and on every rewatch I find myself falling in love with the magic of Encanto.
