Fall in Bangladesh is one of the most beautiful seasons–with sporadic rainstorms, cerulean blue skies dotted with cotton candy clouds, and snowy white blooms of kashful as far as the eye can see.
In other words, this is the perfect time to cozy up near the window with a good book while enjoying the beautiful, sunny views of autumn in Bangladesh. Here are my most anticipated book releases of Fall 2022.
~ 5 Most Anticipated Book Releases Of Fall 2022 ~
1. This House Is Not A Home by Katłįà
Release Date: 1st September, 2022
Publisher: Roseway Publishing
Genre: General Fiction, Own Voices, Young Adult
A hauntingly beautiful story about an Indigenous family who returns from a hunting trip to find their home has been forcefully taken by settlers, This House Is Not A Home is a heartwrenching, intergenerational, coming-of-age novel that explores the pain and suffering inflicted on the natives of northern Canada, and how despite all that bloody history, they still thrive today with resilience and dignity. It’s by far one of the best books of 2022, and one of my most anticipated book releases of Fall 2022.
2. Stolen City by Elisa A. Bonnin
Release Date: 20th September, 2022
Publisher: Swoon Reads
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
I absolutely loved Dauntless by Elisa A. Bonnin, which was her debut novel, and cannot wait to get my hands on Stolen City, a new daring, YA heist fantasy about twin siblings who steal magical artifacts in defiance of tyrannical powers that are occupying their city. I am actually reading the book right now, and cannot wait to till it hits the shelves later this month so all of you can read it too!
Elisa A. Bonnin is a master at writing incredible action scenes, powerful female leads, and building drama and intrigue. Check out my full review of her debut novel Dauntless to know why I am so hyped about her next book release!
3. The Sacrifice By Rin Chupeco
Release Date: 27th September, 2022
Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire
Genre: Horror, Young Adult, Urban Fantasy
Next up on my list of the most anticipated book releases of Fall 2022 is a YA horror from one of my favorite authors.
The Sacrifice by Rin Chupeco is a must-read for anyone who is a fan of horror, and also highly recommended for anyone who is a fan of Rin Chupeco (like me…I am a proud, self-proclaimed Chupechoe). The Sacrifice by Rin Chupeco has to be one of her best works yet–it’s creepy, it’s mysterious and it’s downright terrifying. Reading the book was a lot like watching a horror film onscreen, which is kind of ironic because the plot centers around a team from Hollywood who arrives on a haunted island in the Philippines to make a documentary, despite the warnings from the locals.
However, although a horror fantasy at its core, The Sacrifice by Rin Chupeco boldly explores Hollywood’s actual, casual treatment and disregard of non-white cultures, their habit of altering what is sacred just to make a profit out of stories that would be palatable for a white audience.
It’s brutal, it’s like watching a trainwreck and not being able to do anything to stop it. It’s going to keep you up all night reading. One of the most anticipated book releases of Fall 2022, I strongly recommend The Sacrifice by Rin Chupeco, but not for those who are faint of heart.

4. Love From Mecca To Medina by S.K Ali
Release Date: 18th October, 2022
Publisher: Simon & Schuester
Genre: Young Adult Romance
S.K. Ali’s Love From Mecca To Medina is the sequel to Love From A To Z, and follows the super cute relationship of Adam and Zaynab who are now apart from one another but are faced with a trip that can finally bring the two of them together. But of course, the trip is not without drama and mayhem, and Adam and Zaynab will find out if their love can actually transcend the problems of real life in this holy pilgrimage from Mecca to Medina.
I haven’t read the first book yet, even though it has been on my TBR forever. Now that the second book is coming out, they are both on my list of most anticipated book releases of Fall 2022.
5. A Million To One by Adiba Jaigirdar
Release Date: 13th December, 2022
Publisher: HarperCollins
Genre: Historical Fiction, Young Adult
Ocean’s 8 meets the Titanic in Adiba Jaigirdar’s A Million To One. Following the adventures of four incredibly and drastically different women, A Million To One is an exciting, thrilling to story about a high-stakes heist aboard the RMS Titanic.
As a Bangladeshi Muslim woman myself, I am super excited to read more of Jaigirdar’s work, who is one of the best English language novelists who are able to capture the essence of what it is like to be a queer Muslim South Asian in today’s world. Call me biased if you want, but for this reason alone, A Million To One by Adiba Jaigirdar is one of my most anticipated book releases of Fall 2022.
And that wraps up my most anticipated book releases of Fall 2022. What books are you excited to read this fall?
