Top Ten Books With Parallel Universes

toptentuesday

Ever since watching J.J Abram’s incredibly underrated show, Fringe, I became obsessed with the concept of parallel universes and butterfly effects and the works. And why shouldn’t I be? Imagine the world that you live in, and then imagine another world that is incredibly similar to the one you live in but with few distinct differences, and that in this world there is a version of you too–a person who could pass off as your twin, but a person who is you, but not quite you. Maybe, in this other world, you are the President’s daughter. Continue reading “Top Ten Books With Parallel Universes”

Ten Bookish Facts About Yours Truly

toptentuesday

Hi guys! I am a day late with my Top Ten Tuesday post, a weekly meme hosted by the bookish masterminds at The Broke and The Bookish. I am really excited for this week’s topic, which is about ten facts about yourself–could be bookish, could be personal-ish, could be blogger-ish–cause I think this will really help get the bookish community to get to know each other more. Listopia

I have always loved making book related lists–best fictional couple lists, best action scene lists, best protagonist list, best antagonist list…and so on forth. Book Trailer: Red Queen + Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard

This is a world divided by blood – red or silver.

The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change.
That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power.

If you found Red Queen heartbreaking, then be prepared with a stressball and a tissue box (maybe even two) before you pick up Glass Sword, the second installment in Victoria Aveyard‘s stunning YA series. The sequel was just as exciting and thrilling as the first book in the series, but what really took my breath away was the plot and character Continue reading “Book Trailer: Red Queen + Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard”

Top Ten 2015 Releases I Meant To Get To But Didn't

Happy Tuesday everyone! It’s time for another Top 10 Tuesday post–a weekly meme created by the amazing people at The Broke And The Bookish

toptentuesday

2015 has seen a lot of good books. With hits like Six of Crows by Leigh Burdago or Nicola Yoon’s Everything Everything2015 should have been an amazing bookish year right? Well…no, not for me, seeing how as they were so many books I didn’t get the chance to read because life got in the way.
