Bookish Identity Tag

Bookish Identity.jpg

It’s been awhile since I did a book tag and so I thought why not do the Bookish Identity Tag, created by three really awesome booktubers–Little Book Owl, Katytastic, and Benjaminoftomes. Here it goes!

What dystopian/fantasy world would you live in?

For obvious reasons I would rather live in a utopian world than a dystopian one, but if I had to pick a fantasy world I think I would love to live in Cabeswater from The Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater. She portrays such a beautiful description of this “in-between”, whimsical place where anything you dream of can come to life. It’s definitely on my list of top ten fantasy worlds.

Who would your partner be?

You mean my…ahem…boyfriend? Well I’d be hard pressed to choose only one guy from my book boyfriends, but it would definitely either be Elias Veturius from An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir or Gansey from The Raven Cycle. What sets these two apart from other super-hot-super-sexy boys in YA is how driven and dedicated they are to doing good in this world, and how obsessed they are about ensuring that they themselves deserve to live and to be happy.

Who would be your godly mother/father? (Percy Jackson and The Olympians)

I would love to be the daughter of  Hades! Yes, I know that he is supposed to be evil and all, but in the Percy Jackson series he was the only god who seemed to actually love his children, enough to go out of his way to look after them. Not to mention, he was the last Olympian to break the Oath, despite his reputation.

Would you be a downworlder or a nephilim? (The Mortal Instruments)

Honestly, there’s so much wrong with the Shadowhunters society that I would really rather be a downworlder–preferably a warlock, especially if I can be half as sassy and fabulous as Magnus Bane.

Which house would you be in? (Harry Potter)

I am building a fortress against all Harry Potter fans as I say this: I do not like the HP books and have never been able to finish a single one of them, therefore my answer is: none.

Bet you are all looking at me like this now huh?

Which faction would you be in? (Divergent)

I would love to be in either Amity, or Abnegation, because the ideals of both factions really resounded with me when I read the book series. Maintaining harmony and peace, and putting others first–if we all could do that, even through small actions, the world would be a better place.

What would be your daemon? (Northern Lights)

A MAGPIE! Yes I know it’s nothing badass but magpies are so beautiful and have such a sweet voice. It’s also the national bird of my country, so obviously I would love my daemon to be something that represents me.

I now nominate the following people for this tag:

Analee from The Book Snacks

Marie from Drizzle and Hurricane Books

Reg from She Latitude

Raven from Dreamy Addictions

Fabiha from Rantings Of A Bipolar Soul

And YOU! If you have read this, tag you are it!

  1. Oh yes, The Raven Boys’s world is amazing. It’s so magical and unique, I would love to be able to go there and see all of this magic for myself. Lovely answers 🙂

  2. This seems like a fun tag to do! I loved reading your answers. I haven’t read the HP series either but I did watched all the movies. Thank you so much for tagging me! 🙂

  3. I don’t know if I see Elias as being obsessed in ensuring that he deserves to be happy, HAHA. I’ve always felt like he was much more the sacrificial type, especially in A Torch Against the Night. Gansey, though, I’d 100% agree with. I love that boy.

And hey, fair enough if you’re not into Harry Potter! I’m a fan, but I’m not a HUGE HUGE fan like some people are… and different people have different tastes and all that. 😉

    Thanks for the tag! <3

    1. Gansey is just love! Characters like him are so rare. And you are right Elias is totally the sacrificial type–I just got that other vibe from him because how he kept talking about making things right for the Scholars.

And you’re welcome 😁 I look forward to your answers!

  4. Ahhh Gansey!! <3 Love him. And Downworlders are so fabulous! (Magnus Bane is, anyway haha.) I honestly wouldn't be able to choose between Shadowhunter and Downworlder though… But warlocks are pretty fabulous… DECISIONS. <3 Nooooooo Harry Potter, my love! (the series, not necessarily the character lol) Ginny's meeeee!! Haha I get it though, not everyone will love the same books after all! <3 Lovely answers, thanks so much for the tag, Tanaz!

  5. This is such a cool tag! I also enjoy learning more about the people in this wonderful book blogger community.
I’m new to blogging and book reviewing, and I was wondering if you had any tips for newbie bloggers and book reviewers.
If you have the time, please check out my blog @breenysbooks. I’d love any feedback. Have a wonderful day.

    1. I definitely will! Welcome to the community! 💕 As for tips on newbie bloggers and reviewers I’ll be doing a post on that very soon. Stay tuned!

    1. Me too! I am more of a soft fluffy person who bleeds when you pinch her. Dauntless–as admirable as they are–would not be where I belong 😅
